Ocean Burst - is a birds eye view of the beach. The explosion of colors with a lifeline of purple and gold flowing through it. The purple river connects the colors, as the gold thread holds everything together. Life has highs and lows and how we react to these seasons matters. Hang on for the ride, because everything is temporary. This too will pass, and beauty is here and around the purple and gold bend.
Know that you matter, and we need you here with us today and tomorrow!
(Original on Canvas ~ 20"x30"x.75")
Blue Garden is a brilliantly colored and beautiful multilayered painting that portrays deep blended blue hues that merge into bold and bright golden yellows. The semi colon is featured under all the paint in 3D, as well as gold accents on the top.
Every brush stroke and paint layer work together to display the persistence that is required to shine in this life. Whether you see the blue flowing or the gold rising, both work together allowing each to shine. This portrays the ‘win-win’ option in life.
I win as you win, I shine as you shine.
(Original on Canvas 24"x30"x 1.5")
Water Dance Crest - This acrylic pour of the ocean wave has many vibrant blues and greens swirling around like the ocean. As the energy of the wave starts to crest, you can imagine the power of the wave and hear the crash of the water in the ocean. Life has seasons, highs and lows. Both are important!
Know a new and better wave is coming soon!

Water Dance Rise - This wave is climbing high, gaining energy as it moves. The semicolon starts to rise through the wave, riding on its energy.
Water is known to relax the mind, When we are next to or in water, our minds change chemically and this peaceful state is called the 'Blue Mind'.
Just like the waves, this season is temporary. Hang in there for the next better wave!

Beautiful Girl is more or less a self portrait. She is not perfect, yet her imperfections create inner beauty that radiates from her heart. This Beautiful Girl is a survivor and sheperseveres through the chaos of life. She might say she is fine, but she really isn't fine. She is ready to talk about it. Will you listen to her?
This portrait evolved through several sessions of working through many layers of paint. The semicolon is in the vicinity of her heart, which was a serendipitous placement. Suicide has a devestating effect on the survivor. Suicide grief is compounded by guilt and shame, and unanswered questions. Did you know that you can call 988 and talk to someone?
Know that it is OK to not be OK and say so!
Original on Canvas (30"x40"x1.5")
Foot Prints is a birds eye view of the ocean waves crashing on the beach. It is a vibrant acrylic pour with multiple layers of shades of blue, that fade to soft shades of beige along the sand. Many cells pop with vibrant colors all through the composition, each one unique and radiant. And then I had the idea to make the footprints as semicolons! (That was a fun twist to try). The footprints walk into the ocean, and back again, and off the canvas. But they aren’t really alone (like the Footprints in the Sand poem)!
‘... When you saw only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.’
In the toughest moments, know you are loved and not alone.

Soul Shine has brilliant colors that bleed into each other and express both the beauty and struggle of life. As the semi colon selflessly drips into the atmosphere, it creates new energy. The energy creates new connections. The connections blend into the world around us. We realize we are brilliant, powerful, needed, and our story must continue. (Soulshine is inspired by Warren Hayne's song Soulshine)
Continue your story; doing what you love; let your soul shine!

May you be swept away in the peaceful power the ocean brings.
Mr. Octopus - Mr. Octopus is special mini pour as I wanted to explore the wave on a black background. This piece captures the mystery underneath the ocean surface, beneath the waves. Do you see the octopus? The eyes? Something else?
May this piece bring a smile to your face as you explore its composition.
(Original Sold! - 8" x 10" Limited Prints Available)
Je Suis Aimé (I am loved) was born in my heart over 20 years ago. It transformed several times as I worked to combine the world with the eyes in the galaxy, both separate and intricate acrylic pours. There is powerful energy in this piece as the clouds float around earth, as the sun bursts its energy into the sky, as the constellations sparkle all around the eyes.
The eyes assure you that you are seen, you are needed, and you are loved.
Whose eyes are they? Sometimes I see myself, sometimes I see my mom, sometimes I see Jesus. Whose eyes do you see? Some one you love?
Someone you have lost? Are they yours?
May the eyes in the galaxy remind you - You are loved!
Original on Canvas (36"x54"x .75")
La Belle Vie (the good life) is also one of the self portrait pieces. The outlines of her shape reveal the beautiful hues of blue in the complex pour of the background. She has great energy and a sense of peace through her simple smile. Our lives can be transformed by shifting our perspective, our thoughts, and our inner voice to positive things. She chooses to create her life beautiful ~ The Good Life!
May you choose to create beauty in your life.
Original on Canvas (20"x30"x.75")
Aurora's Light is a beautiful painting portrays the mystical energy of the Aurora Borealis in the sky along with the portrait of a woman persevering through situation that life can bring. Aurora is a survivor, a warrior, fighting for her life. She basks in the beautiful Aurora Borealis as the magical colors warm her soul and brighten her face. She loves through the hurts, knowing she matters, she is worthy, and she is loved. Are they tears of pain, joy, or gratitude? The semicolon is a beauty mark on her cheek, just below the tears and in the sky with the lights.
Know that you are worthy of all good things and you matter to this world! You are as beautiful as the Aurora Borealis lights.

Shine is a very special painting to me as it was inspired by musician Danny Gokey. I came out of a dark season of life in 2017, and Danny released his Rise Album. As I listened to his songs, it felt as if he had written them for me. I felt God encourage me to push through the darkness and paint.
The background is a complex acrylic pour, as well as each petal and leaf. As I would work with the paint allowing the beautiful blossoms to form, and they seemed to explode with life and shine.
I hope it encourages you to shine as well.
And Danny, if you are reading, I want to personally thank you for shining so brightly for me.

Moments has a special place in my heart as it was the first painting I completed for this project. It is also a painting that had many twists and turns and frustrated unfinished nights. I had just learned about the significance of the Semi Colon for Suicide Awareness. I was obsessed with dragonflies (and still am), admiring their strength and beauty; unapologetically being a Badass, just as God had made them. I wanted to bring light to the message to Rise, to Shine,
What is your moment?
(Original on Canvas 20"x24"x.75")
Live-Love-Laugh is the second painting in the semicolon/ dragonfly series.
It is in loving memory of my mom and uncle (her half-brother). The dragonflies whimsically fly around the semicolon, encouraging us to live, love, and laugh.
Some have commented on how the semi colon seems to mimic the conception of life.
Well, what better place to begin
then at the beginning!
Live, Love, & Laugh more.
(Original on Canvas 18"x24"x.75")
Beautiful things Beautiful things is a blend of both the acrylic pour technique and traditional acrylics. The brilliant galactic blues and greens glow both on the cave walls and in the water. This piece is inspired by a National Geographic photo of glowworms in a cave.
It caught my attention as I’m drawn to those that shine. Each tiny light was a glow worm?
When I showed the image to my youngest daughter, she said,
‘Beautiful things can rise out of the darkness’.
I knew I had to paint such a place!
It always brings a smile to my heart, those little glow worms shining away;
of coarse the glow worms had to make up the semicolon.
May you shine brightly too; just as you were made to do!
(Acrylic Signed Original on Canvas 30"x40"x.75")
Dragonflight is a colorful acrylic pour with beautiful dragonflies dancing around the canvas. Did you know that dragonflies are the fastest flying insect? It is considered good luck if one lands on your head. I admire these incredible insects and the many gifts they have, like being able to fly backwards like a helicopter!
I would love to fly like the dragonfly. When I paint, I imagine I am soaring with them, like it is my super power.
What is your gift, your superpower?
(Original Sold! - (16"x20"

This painting is inspired by the thick forests all over the Pacific Northwest. Hiking along the trees is a perfect escape into mother nature's best gifts, the trees. So many amazing things to gaze upon, or sit and watch the light dance through the leaves as the dragonflies dance around.
May you find a moment to stop and walk among the trees and watch the dragonflies do their 'thing'.

Firefly Escape is inspired from the amazing fireflies that delighted my heart during my childhood in the hill country of Texas. As I worked on this painting, I had so many memories of camping and catching these magical bugs, (none were harmed and all were released).
Fireflies are made to shine, and they pierce the dark with their light. I had much fun with this one as I tried to get the right number of fireflies to complete this beauty.

Tulips was started in my 30s, inspired by the incredible fields of tulips in Washington state.
But I couldn’t seem to capture its full beauty until I started to paint again for this project.
As I worked to revive it, each tulip became it’s own mini pour painting.
I see so many parallels with the field of tulips.
Each tulip is perfect and unique; yet combined together is breathtaking and divine.
The world is a better place when we all shine together.
(Original Sold! Limited Prints Available 16"x20")
Willow is a beautiful acrylic pour of a seascape at sunset.
The Willow tree is my favorite kind of tree, lovely, comforting, protecting. I found myself surrounded by willow trees in Chico, California, as I was finishing the painting. I knew once I started painting the distinct willow tree leaves that this painting would be divine.
And I owe gratitude to a beautiful Lily-soul who asked, 'where was the reflection of the semicolon on the water?' And I am grateful to the beautiful Sara-angel God sent to encourage me in Chico, on the difficult day that I finished the painting.
I am grateful to all that God has sent my way along this journey. Know how connected you are, how much you matter, and how great we need you with us.

Mary's Tree was created to celebrate my stepmom's
1 year anniversary of her liver transplant.
Mary has been an angel in my life, supporting me ever since she married my dad when I was just 16. She has been by my side all throughout this journey and she never has given up on me. I am so blessed to have her in my life. 1 year ago, we almost lost her as her liver was failing and she was in desperate need for a liver transplant. God provided a liver (just in time!) in June of 2021. While awaiting the surgery, and weary from being so sick, she dreamed of beautiful tree. She asked if I could paint something could remind her of such a scene. (10"x20"x.75")

Life is Better on the Lake is inspired by an incredible ski lake tucked away in eastern Washington. As the sun rises and sets, and the seasons pass, the lake is always vibrant, reflecting the beauty all around it. Even more, besides creating wonderful skiing memories, every part of this lake is alive with wildlife, birds, and hundreds of dragonflies.
Where is your peaceful happy place? Perhaps a lake like this?
